Desires so lightly squandered

Desires touch slight as single hairs
pressed into a child’s dimpled grasp.

Desires fill the grip of frenzied youth
held in wonder ’til seasoned by the gravity of calm

and brushes lightly hardening age, softly sighing
desires into maturing ripeness.
