Tempus Fugit #54

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,  Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun. John Keats

It was John Keat’s birthday not so long ago, 31st October. A man born into an age of complication and social upheaval with food riots the length and breadth of England, war with the French and Acts of Parliament prohibiting assemblies of more than 50 people. As far as I can see, he chose not to involve himself with such lowly matters.

Find out more about John Keats in this most excellent book by Suzie Grogan, described as an evocative tour in the poet’s footsteps.
